SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas R. Williams of Joliet, who passed 
4away on June 3, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Williams was born in Spring Valley, 
6Wisconsin to  Robert J. and Helen (nee Reed) Williams and lived 
7in Joliet most of his life; he graduated from St. Patrick Grade 
8School, Joliet Township High School, Joliet Junior College, and 
9Colorado State University; he played basketball throughout 
10high school and college; he served in the United States Army; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Thomas Williams retired from Joliet School 
13District #86 and as Will County Assistant Regional 
14Superintendent; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Thomas Williams loved spending summers in 
16Rhinelander, Wisconsin; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Williams was preceded in death by his 
18parents; his 2 brothers, Richard and Donald Williams; and one 
19nephew, Douglas Williams; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Thomas Williams is survived by his wife of 56

1years, Maggie (nee O'Donnell) Williams; his children, Lisa 
2(Dave) Rumsey, Tim Williams, and Craig Williams; his 
3grandchildren, Erin and Patrick Rumsey and Lauren Williams; and 
4numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Thomas R. Williams, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Thomas Williams as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
