SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Willie Lee Hunter, who passed away on
4July 5, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Willie Hunter was born on July 8, 1983 in Chicago;
6his parents were Angela Hunter and Willie Jackson; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Willie Hunter attended Mahalia Jackson Elementary
8School; he subsequently furthered his education by attaining a
9GED and a certificate in carpentry; and
 
10    WHEREAS, In April of 2014, Willie Hunter moved to Jefferson
11City, Missouri to better his life; after a week of being in
12Missouri, he obtained a job with Scholastic Inc. in the
13Operations Department; within one month of employment, he was
14promoted to manager of his department; he was well-respected by
15his co-workers and the company's executives alike; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Willie Hunter enjoyed spending time with his
17family and friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Willie Hunter was preceded in death by his father;

1    WHEREAS, Willie Hunter is survived by his beloved daughter,
2Mercedes Hardaway; his mother; a sister, Rosie Liggins; 2
3nephews, Shawn Brown and Dontay Liggins; 5 nieces, Janice,
4Alexis, Raneice, and Kriscelle Liggins and Janyla Hunter; his
5many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; and his special
6friend, Brittany West; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Willie Lee Hunter; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Willie Hunter as an expression of
13our sympathy.
