SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  our former colleague, Richard Francis 
4"Dick" Kelly, Jr. of Oak Forest, who passed away on July 11, 
52015; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Richard Kelly, Jr. was born on October 12, 1936 in 
7Chicago; his parents were Richard and Ruth Kelly; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Kelly, Jr. attended Tilden Technical High 
9School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Governors 
10State University; he also attended DePaul University and the 
11American Institute of Banking; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Kelly, Jr. was employed at the MidAmerica 
13National Bank in Chicago; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Kelly, Jr. served the State of Illinois 
15with distinction as an Illinois State Representative for 5 
16terms and as an Illinois State Senator for 3 terms; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Kelly, Jr. was the beloved husband of the 
18late Ethel Kelly; the loving brother of Reginald Kelly and 
19Sharon Owen, the late Glenda McGrath, Ronald Kelly, and Rex 
20Kelly; and the cherished uncle of many; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of our former colleague, 
4Richard Francis "Dick" Kelly, Jr.; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Richard Kelly, Jr. as an expression 
7of our sympathy.
