SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gale M. Motsinger of Canton, who passed
4away on July 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gale Motsinger was born on February 6, 1931 in
6Canton; his parents were Russell and Lucille (nee Hummel)
7Motsinger; he married Virginia Jeanne Wages on May 10, 1950 in
8Canton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gale Motsinger served his country as a member of
10the United States Naval Reserve for a year; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Gale Motsinger was employed at Caterpillar as an
12inspector for 34 1/2 years until his retirement in 1995; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gale Motsinger was a member of Wesley United
14Methodist Church in Canton and the Shriners Consistory; he was
15also a Past Master of Lewistown Masonic Lodge #104; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gale Motsinger enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and
17camping; he was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Gale Motsinger is survived by his wife, Virginia;
196 children, Jan (Debbie) Motsinger, Robert J. Motsinger, Gerald

1"Gale" (Debbie) Motsinger, Randy (Kim) Motsinger, Sheila
2(Steve) Bottoms, and Michael Motsinger; 9 grandchildren,
3Carrie Schreiner, Stacey Watters, Donna Grant, Jeff Newlun,
4Ryan Motsinger, Alex Motsinger, Kurt Motsinger, Kyle
5Motsinger, and Eric Dennis; 15 great-grandchildren; 3
6great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger (Janet)
7Motsinger; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Gale M. Motsinger; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Gale Motsinger as an expression of
14our sympathy.
