SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  William "Bill" Francis Collins of Crystal 
4Lake, who passed away on July 10, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Collins was born on May 26, 1920 in 
6Chicago; his parents were John and Margaret (nee Condon) 
7Collins; he married LaVonne Bigelow in 1952; together, they 
8raised 5 children in the Crystal Lake area since 1963; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, William Collins lived his early years on the south 
10side of Chicago, graduating from St. Rita High School; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, William Collins proudly served his country as a 
12member of the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946; and
 
13    WHEREAS, William Collins enjoyed books, his favorite 
14sports teams, a good Scotch, and spending time with his family 
15and friends; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, William Collins was preceded in death by his wife 
17of 32 years, LaVonne; a grandson; a sister, Margaret; and his 
18parents; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, William Collins is survived by 5 children, Pat

1(Andy) Voloch, Dan (Maureen) Collins, Jerry (Patty) Collins, 
2Jack (Anne Marie) Collins, and Kathleen (Mike) Liautaud; 12 
3grandchildren, Mike, Chris (Nicole), and Megan Voloch, Brian 
4(Allie) and Bridget Collins, Susan and Joanna Collins, John and 
5Angela Collins, and Kelly, David, and Julie Liautaud; and a 
6great-granddaughter, Malena Voloch; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
9family and friends, mourn the passing of William "Bill" Francis 
10Collins; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of William Collins as an expression of 
13our sympathy.
