| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia J. Farrar Mills, who passed away |
| 4 | | on June 26, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was born in California; she |
| 6 | | graduated from Duarte High School and attended college to |
| 7 | | further her love of art; she later moved to Illinois and met |
| 8 | | Michael Mills, with whom she started a family and continued her |
| 9 | | creative life; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills taught numerous art classes |
| 11 | | across McHenry County; she loved ceramics, and her art took on |
| 12 | | a life of its own; while working at McHenry County College, new |
| 13 | | doors opened in her field, and her work at the college found |
| 14 | | her surrounded by new friends, who became her "heart" during |
| 15 | | her battle with cancer; she also worked at Creative Arts in |
| 16 | | Crystal Lake; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was preceded in death by her |
| 18 | | parents, Russell James and Lorraine (nee Fenzel) Farrar, and a |
| 19 | | brother, Russell William Farrar; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was the loving mother of |
| 21 | | Elijah and Erica Mills, the beloved sister of Diane Farrar |
