SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Patricia J. Farrar Mills, who passed away 
4on June 26, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was born in California; she 
6graduated from Duarte High School and attended college to 
7further her love of art; she later moved to Illinois and met 
8Michael Mills, with whom she started a family and continued her 
9creative life; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills taught numerous art classes 
11across McHenry County; she loved ceramics, and her art took on 
12a life of its own; while working at McHenry County College, new 
13doors opened in her field, and her work at the college found 
14her surrounded by new friends, who became her "heart" during 
15her battle with cancer; she also worked at Creative Arts in 
16Crystal Lake; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was preceded in death by her 
18parents, Russell James and Lorraine (nee Fenzel) Farrar, and a 
19brother, Russell William Farrar; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, Patricia Farrar Mills was the loving mother of 
21Elijah and Erica Mills, the beloved sister of Diane Farrar

1Newell, and the beloved aunt of Alex; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Patricia J. Farrar 
5Mills; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Patricia Farrar Mills as an 
8expression of our sympathy.
