| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Lois R. Norgard of Hebron, who passed |
| 4 | | away on June 28, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lois Norgard was born on May 12, 1920 in |
| 6 | | Woodstock; her parents were Elmer and Olive (nee Fink) |
| 7 | | Bottlemy; she married Lawrence Norgard on August 31, 1940 in |
| 8 | | Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lois Norgard graduated from Alden High School in |
| 10 | | 1938; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Lois Norgard worked as a salesclerk at Ace |
| 12 | | Hardware in Woodstock for 15 years; she was also an apprentice |
| 13 | | pharmacist at various Hebron and Woodstock drug stores; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Lois Norgard was a member of St. John's Lutheran |
| 15 | | Church in Hebron, where she served as a Sunday school teacher |
| 16 | | for 20 years and was active in the Lutheran Ladies Aid; she was |
| 17 | | a member of the Merry-Go-Round Club, the Afternoon Social Club, |
| 18 | | the Hebron Service Club, the Home Bureau; she attended McHenry |
| 19 | | County sports events and attended all of her grandson's sport |
| 20 | | activities; she also planned and hosted Fourth of July picnics |
| 21 | | for family and friends at her home for over 40 years; and
