SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis N. Arroyo of McHenry, who passed
4away on July 6, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was born on March 1, 1927 in
6Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his parents were Daniel and Ruby
7(nee Nava) Arroyo; he married Theresa Barajas on December 11,
81953 in Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo served his country as a member of the
10United States Army during World War II and fought in the Battle
11of the Bulge; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was a machinist and salesman; he was
13also a cook at St. Regis in McHenry and retired from the
14Illinois Tollway; following his retirement, he worked at Ace
15Hardware in McHenry; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was an avid bowler and a football
17fan; he also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo was preceded in death by his parents
19and a nephew, Paul Martinez; and

1    WHEREAS, Louis Arroyo is survived by his wife; 3 daughters,
2Yvonne, Denise (Dennis) Tyk, and Annette Arroyo; 3
3grandchildren, Steve (Becky) Smith, Kristen, and Katelyn; 7
4nieces and nephews, Joseph, Rick, Richard, Laura, Mary, Hector,
5and Mark; and a sister, Inez (Al) Galvan; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Louis N. Arroyo; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Louis Arroyo as an expression of our
12sympathy.
