| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Heinz F. Richard of Marengo, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on July 20, 2015; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Heinz Richard was born in Chicago on April 24, | ||||||
| 6 | 1930 to Fred and Martha (nee Steinegger) Richard; he married | ||||||
| 7 | Mary Lou Driver on February 3, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church in | ||||||
| 8 | Marengo; he served in the United States Air Force during the | ||||||
| 9 | Korean War, working on aircraft as a computer programmer; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Heinz Richard worked at McDonnell Douglas in Fort | ||||||
| 11 | Worth, Texas; he then worked for Boeing Air Craft in Wichita, | ||||||
| 12 | Kansas as an electrical engineer; in 1971, he moved his family | ||||||
| 13 | back to his home town of Marengo and worked for AT&T, retiring | ||||||
| 14 | in 1994; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Heinz Richard was an avid bowler, sometimes | ||||||
| 16 | bowling on 3 leagues a week, but his biggest passion was always | ||||||
| 17 | fishing; he enjoyed taking trips with his wife and sometimes | ||||||
| 18 | his children to Branson, Missouri; Kentucky Lake; Northern | ||||||
| 19 | Wisconsin; and out west, but most of all enjoyed his trips up | ||||||
| 20 | to his son Bob's resort, O'Sullivans Rainbow, in Nakina, | ||||||
| 21 | Ontario, Canada; he was also an avid Nebraska Corn Huskers and | ||||||
| 22 | Kansas City Chiefs fan; his other favorite pastimes included | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | mowing the lawn and smoking a good cigar; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Heinz Richard was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 3 | and his sister-in-law, Joan Steinwehe; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Heinz Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years | ||||||
| 5 | Mary Lou; his 5 children, Ronald (Debbie) Richard, Marta (Dale) | ||||||
| 6 | Vogel, Robert (Shelly) Richard, Paula Finnan (fiancé Dave | ||||||
| 7 | Bennett), and Laura Hinton; his 11 grandchildren, Brenn and | ||||||
| 8 | Luke Richard, Brett, Bryan (Kristi), and Brandon Vogel, Graydon | ||||||
| 9 | and Bailey Richard, Katelyn and Dylan Finnan, and Zachary and | ||||||
| 10 | Wade Hinton; his 4 great-grandchildren, Riley, Alexander, and | ||||||
| 11 | Braylon Vogel and Bryson Finnan; his sisters, Edith Richard and | ||||||
| 12 | Elizabeth (Sepp) Cantaluppi; his sister-in-law, Carol (Victor) | ||||||
| 13 | Mortensen; his brothers-in-law, Tom (Delores) Driver and | ||||||
| 14 | William (Ruth) Driver; and many other friends and relatives; | ||||||
| 15 | therefore, be it

| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 18 | Heinz F. Richard, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 19 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 20 | further

| 21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 22 | presented to the family of Heinz Richard as an expression of | ||||||
