SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas Jon Knox, formerly of Woodstock,
4who passed away on July 10, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Knox was born on January 30, 1947 to
6Florence and Gordon Knox; he graduated from Woodstock High
7School in 1965; after high school, he volunteered for the
8United States Army and served in the Vietnam War; he was
9honorably discharged in August of 1967; and
 
10    WHEREAS, After serving in Vietnam, Thomas Knox worked at
11Illinois Bell for 23 years before becoming a small business
12owner in Woodstock; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Knox retired to Naples, Florida; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Thomas Knox was preceded in death by his parents;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Thomas Knox is survived by his 5 children, Thomas
17(Jennifer) Knox, Jonathon (Jackie) Knox, Steven (Amy) Knox,
18Kristen (Jeffrey) Chiappetta, and Sarah (Nicolas) Gonzalez;
19his 3 brothers, Tim (Janet) Knox, Jim (Pam) Knox, and John
20Knox; his sister, Judy (John) Bloom; his 7 grandchildren,

1Thomas, Trent, Brennen, Emma, Sophia, Santino, and Micaela; and
2many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Thomas Jon Knox, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Thomas Knox as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
