SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leo Ayala of McHenry, who passed away on
4July 19, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leo Ayala was born in Bayard, Nebraska on
6September 15, 1938 to Severiano and Mary (nee Todd) Ayala; he
7married Marilyn Chihak on April 16, 1970; he served as a
8Corpsman in the United States Navy for 10 years, serving his
9last year as a Battlefield Medic in Vietnam; and
 
10    WHEREAS, After being honorable discharged, Leo Ayala
11continued in the medic sales field; he started his own company,
12Lab Rx Interiors in McHenry, 30 years ago; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Leo Ayala enjoyed doing home improvement projects
14around the house, camping, and grilling; he was also fond of
15attending the theater and dining in fine restaurants with
16family and good friends; he liked eating at greasy spoons and
17local restaurants, with Bimbo's as his favorite; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Leo Ayala was preceded in death by his parents,
19and his brothers, Eleido, Richard, and Dennis; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Leo Ayala is survived by his wife, Marilyn; the

1children of his current marriage, Mark (Catherine) Ayala and
2Melissa Ayala-Wolf; the children of his previous marriage,
3Michael, Linda, Christopher, Deborah, Brian, and Anthony; his
4grandchildren, Crystal, Kayla, Jace, Lexie, Logan, Marie,
5Nicholas, Damon, and Brandon; other grandchildren; many
6great-grandchildren; his siblings, Esther Lopez and Gilbert
7Ayala; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Leo Ayala, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Leo Ayala as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
