SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sandra Lee Brady, who passed away on July 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Brady was born on May 8, 1941; her parents were Harold and Mary Loretto (nee O'Donoghue) Miller; she married John Brady on February 11, 1961, at St. Thomas the Apostle; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Brady was raised in Crystal Lake; she was baptized at St. Thomas the Apostle, where she later received her First Communion and was confirmed; she graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1959; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Brady worked at Crystal Lake South High School in the English Department Resource Center for many years until her retirement in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Brady was a gifted seamstress, a talented Bridge player, and a devoted grandma to her grandchildren; she loved traveling in Europe and the Caribbean, riding her snowmobile in Northern Wisconsin near the family cabin, and visiting 49 states; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Brady is preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, John Brady; and a sister, Rita Fitzgerald; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Brady is survived by 4 daughters, Ann (Andre Bowdry) Brady, Ellen (Joseph Selby) Brady, Mary (Thomas) Edwards, and Seanine (Robert Reisenbuechler) Brady; her grandchildren, Brigitte (fiance, Jonathan Kratenstein) Mueller, Nicole Edwards, Erich Mueller, Kevin Edwards, Benjamin Brady, Maggie Mueller, Quinn Brady, and Charles Edwards; 2 sisters, Lorraine Egan and Shirley Oost; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Sandra Lee Brady; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sandra Brady as an expression of our sympathy.
