SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William "Bill" Board of Peoria, who
4passed away on July 31, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Board was born on January 15, 1945, in
6Hammond, Indiana; his parents were David and Joyce (nee Rasbun)
7Board; he married Sharon (nee Moreland-Hoffman) Board on March
818, 1967 in Peoria; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Board attended Peoria High School before
10joining the United States Air Force in 1963; and
 
11    WHEREAS, From a young age, William Board was surrounded by
12cars; he loved street cars and antique cars; turning this love
13of cars into a profession, he opened Board Auto Body in 1972;
14he owned and operated the auto shop until 2001, when he passed
15it on to his sons; he also worked at Randy's Collision until
162014; and
 
17    WHEREAS, William Board was an active member of Shriners
18International for many years; and
 
19    WHEREAS, William Board was preceded in death by his mother;
20and

1    WHEREAS, William Board is survived by his wife, Sharon; 3
2children, Cathy (John) Morgan, Joseph Board, and Randy
3(Darnell) Board; 5 grandchildren, Danny, Johnnie, Chris,
4Brittany, and Corey; 3 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Jaylynn,
5and Jesica; 3 brothers, Ben Board, Tim Board, and Kerry Board;
6and his father; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of William "Bill" Board;
10and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of William Board as an expression of
13our sympathy.
