SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Margaret Bertha "Peggy" Mansholt of 
4Bunker Hill, who passed away on July 26, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt was born in Worden on November 3, 
61927 to Alvin and Emma (nee Pieper) Henke; she married Earl 
7Mansholt and together they farmed near Bunker Hill; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt worked for the United States Post 
9Office in Bunker Hill for many years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt was an active member of Zion 
11Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill; she enjoyed traveling, social 
12activities with friends, reading, and spending time with her 
13children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt was preceded in death by her 
15parents; her siblings, Dorothea Henke, Amanda Mansholt, and 
16Alfred Henke;  and her twin great-granddaughters, Felicity and 
17Grace Benolkin; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Peggy Mansholt is survived by her children, Gerald 
19Mansholt (Anita), Craig (Joan) Mansholt, and Barbara Welch 
20Mansholt (Michael Welch); she had 7 grandchildren and 5

1great-grandchildren, including, Paula Mansholt and daughters, 
2Heather Moore and Britney Moore, Christa Mansholt-Choy (Manuel 
3Choy) and daughters, Sydney and Elliot, Monica Benolkin (Scott) 
4and daughter, Claire, Jennifer Martin (Art), Jonathan Mansholt 
5(Carrie), Taylor Brien, and Bryce Brien; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
8Margaret Bertha "Peggy" Mansholt, and extend our sincere 
9condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
10her; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to  the family of  Peggy Mansholt as an expression of 
13our deepest sympathy.
