SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael "Mike" Kelley of Belleville, who 
4passed away on May 14, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mike Kelley graduated from Althoff Catholic High 
6School and Illinois State University; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Mike Kelley was employed as the Therapeutic 
8Recreation Coordinator by the Lincoln Prairie Behavior Health 
9Hospital in Springfield; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Mike Kelley loved sports, particularly baseball, 
11and was a standout pitcher for the Althoff Catholic High School 
12baseball team, the Belleville Hilgards, and the Southwestern 
13Illinois College baseball team; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Mike Kelley was preceded in death by his 
15grandfathers, Joe Fairbairn and Pete Kelley; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mike Kelley is survived by his wife, Sarah (nee 
17Wingbermuehle) Kelley; his parents, Carrie and Randy; his 
18brother and sisters, Erin, Tom, and Mo; his sisters-in-law and 
19brothers-in-law, Laura and Tim, Susan and Zach, Mary and Alex, 
20and Anne; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Denise and Ray;

1his grandmothers, Pat Fairbairn and Colleen Kelley; his 
2cousins; his nieces and nephews; his aunts and uncles; and more 
3friends and admirers than could ever be listed; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Michael "Mike" Kelley, and extend our sincere condolences to 
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Mike Kelley as an expression of our 
12deepest sympathy.
