SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Alderman Robert Wilkening of Park Ridge, 
4who passed away on August 4, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Alderman Wilkening has been a resident of Park 
6Ridge for 39 years; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Alderman Wilkening was the President of Wilkening &
8 Company Management Consultants,
founded in 1989; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Alderman Wilkening served as Third Ward Alderman 
10since of May 2015; he previously served 2-terms (8 years) on 
11the Board of Education for Elementary
School District #64 (Park 
12Ridge-Niles); while on the District #64 Board, he served as 
13Chair of the Finance
and Personnel Committees and participated 
14in 3 teacher-union contract negotiations with the
teacher's 
15union; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Alderman Wilkening is survived by his wife of 40 
17years, Gail, and their 2 children; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Alderman Robert Wilkening, and extend our sincere condolences

1to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
2it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to  the family of  Alderman Wilkening as an expression
