SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gregory P. Burg, Jr. of Johnsburg, who 
4passed away on July 21, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gregory Burg, Jr. was born on December 18, 1943 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Gregory P. and Marie (nee Meyer) 
7Burg; he married Louise Schiller on December 4, 1965 in Crystal 
8Lake; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gregory Burg, Jr. served with the McHenry Police 
10Department for 31 years, having attained the rank of sergeant; 
11he also served as a bailiff in McHenry County for 14 years and 
12was a former member of the Johnsburg Rescue Squad; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Gregory Burg, Jr. enjoyed camping; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Gregory Burg, Jr. was preceded in death by his 
15parents and a brother, Donald Burg; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Gregory Burg, Jr. is survived by his wife, Louise; 
173 children, Denise Burg, Michael Burg, and Jennifer (Kenneth) 
18King; 8 grandchildren, Robyn Neff, Christina (Jake) Grizley, 
19Ashley Roth, Tyler Burg, Ryan Burg, Kevin McHaney, Sydney King, 
20and Leigha Malone; 3 great-grandchildren, Deja Luckey and

1Alexander and Justin Grizley; and 2 sisters, Bonnie Morris and 
2Peggy (John) Hoeppner; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Gregory P. Burg, Jr.; 
6and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Gregory Burg, Jr. as an expression 
9of our sympathy.
