2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Lonnie "Lon" Weaver, who passed away on |
4 | | August 12, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver was born in Wood River on December |
6 | | 14, 1953 to J. Glenn and Helen M. (nee Drainer) Weaver; he |
7 | | married Michele Rook on March 22, 1975 in Rosewood Heights; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver practiced law in the Riverbend area |
9 | | for 34 years; he was a volunteer firefighter for the Holiday |
10 | | Shores Fire Department and the Rosewood Heights Fire Department |
11 | | for over 25 years; he was a past school board member for the |
12 | | Roxana School District; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver was a former member of the Bethalto |
14 | | Knights of Columbus; he was a member of the Madison County Bar |
15 | | Association, Duck's Unlimited, and Migratory Water Fowl |
16 | | Incorporated; he was a season ticket holder for the St. Louis |
17 | | Cardinals for 25 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver was preceded in death by his mother, |
19 | | Helen Weaver, and his stepmother, Jeanine Haselhorst Weaver; |
20 | | and

1 | | WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver is survived by his wife, Michele; |
2 | | his father, J. Glenn Weaver; his 2 sons and daughters-in-law, |
3 | | Joe and Val Weaver and Luke and Kourtney Weaver; his 7 |
4 | | grandchildren, Carsyn, Jackson, Yale, Evi, Greyer, Loch, and |
5 | | Rowdy; his 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Nancee and Kelly |
6 | | Bury, Anna and Max Ellis, and Dee Sido; his 3 brothers and |
7 | | sisters-in-law, Dan and Debi Weaver, Chris and Marianne Weaver, |
8 | | and Claude and Tammy Weaver; his father-in-law and |
9 | | mother-in-law, David and Ginger Rook; his brother-in-law and |
10 | | sister-in-law, Joe and Lisa Rook; his sister-in-law and |
11 | | brother-in-law, Melissa and Bob Perica; his special aunt, Joyce |
12 | | Kirby; his uncle and aunt, Dick and Marilyn Karns; and several |
13 | | nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other |
14 | | extended family and friends; therefore, be it

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
17 | | Lonnie "Lon" Weaver, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
18 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
19 | | further

20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
21 | | presented to the family of Lonnie Weaver as an expression of |
22 | | our deepest sympathy.
