| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Essie L. Moy of East St. Louis, who |
| 4 | | passed away on August 21, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Essie Moy served the people of the State of |
| 6 | | Illinois as the Legislative District Office Manager for the |
| 7 | | late Illinois State Senator Kenneth Hall from 1977 to 1995; she |
| 8 | | subsequently served as the Legislative District Office Manager |
| 9 | | for Illinois State Senator James F. Clayborne, Jr. from 1995 to |
| 10 | | 2012; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Essie Moy is survived by 2 children, Roland |
| 12 | | (Gladys) Moy and Rosita (Thomas) Moy-Washington; 3 |
| 13 | | grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Shack; |
| 14 | | 4 nephews; 2 godchildren; and her many other relatives and |
| 15 | | friends; therefore, be it

| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 18 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Essie L. Moy; and be |
| 19 | | it further
