SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nancy Ann Bunger of Ashton, who passed
4away on August 20, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was born in Sublette on November 21,
61929 to Claude and Mary Francis (nee Wilson) Horton; she
7graduated from Dixon High School in 1947 and from Northern
8Illinois University with her teaching certificate; she married
9Milford G. Bunger on September 27, 1952 in Galena; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger worked as an elementary school
11teacher in Rock Falls at the Thome School; she also taught at
12the Lincoln School in Dixon; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was a member of the Lighthouse United
14Methodist Church and United Methodist Women; she was also a
15member of the P.E.O. Chapter IU of Oregon for 63 years and a
16member of the Teacher's Association; she loved gardening,
17flowers, bird-watching, and spending her summers at Bay Lake in
18Minnesota; she was a former Girl Scout leader; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was preceded in death by her parents,
20and her daughter, Susan Lynn Andreas; and

1    WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger is survived by her husband, Milford;
2her children, Mike (Cindy) Bunger, Teresa Bunger, and Matt
3Bunger; her son-in-law, Mike Andreas; her 4 grandchildren,
4Bryan (Carrie) Andreas, Janna (Dan) Pettus, Brent (Jennifer)
5Bunger, and Brandon Bunger; her 4 great-grandchildren, Amira,
6Jax, Gia, and Kai; her sister, Julie (Chuck) Hage; and several
7nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Nancy Ann Bunger, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Nancy Bunger as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
