SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Richard J. Novak of Fox River Grove, who 
4passed away on August 4, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Novak was born on March 14, 1935 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Richard and Vlasta Novak; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Novak owned and operated Novak & Kelsey 
8Insurance Agency in Fox River Grove; he was also president of 
9the McHenry County Independent Insurance Agents and served on 
10the boards of the Fox River Grove Savings & Loan and Marengo 
11Federal Savings & Loan; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Novak enjoyed his summer home in Presque 
13Isle, Wisconsin, where he served on the Van Vliet Lake 
14Association Board; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Novak was preceded in death by his 
16parents; his wife, Carol Lynne Novak; a son, James Novak; and a 
17sister, Jean Kelsey; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Richard Novak is survived by 4 children, Katherine 
19(Kevin) Mayoros, Sandra (Dave) Sidlo, Julie (John) Morgan, and 
20Paul (Dottie) Novak; 4 grandchildren, Scott and Samantha Sidlo

1and Emily and Reyna Novak; and a brother-in-law, Frank Kelsey; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard J. Novak; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Richard Novak as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
