SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Thomas E. Daxon of Moline, who passed 
4away on August 15, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon was born on January 13, 1931 in Rock 
6Island; his parents were Joe and Stella Simmons Daxon; he 
7married Patricia A. Ogden on July 2, 1952 in Moline; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon retired from John Deere as the design 
9supervisor in the tool-and-die department; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon was a member of the SME; he enjoyed 
11fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and 
12friends; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Daxon is survived by his loving wife of 63 
14years, Patricia; a son, Greg Daxon; a daughter, Jennifer 
15(Darrell) DeVilder; his grandchildren, Emily DeVilder, Tyler 
16DeVilder, and Austin DeVilder; his sisters, Patricia Rudd and 
17Marilyn Oliver; and his brothers, Fred (Margie) Attwood and 
18Kenny Daxon; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his

1family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas E. Daxon; and 
2be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Thomas Daxon as an expression of our 
5sympathy.
