SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Bruce G. Dimler of Peoria, who passed 
4away on August 26, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bruce Dimler was born on May 24, 1944 to Dr. 
6Robert J. and Elizabeth (nee Dregne) Dimler; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bruce Dimler retired from Caterpillar after 35 
8years; during his retirement, he substitute taught for over 12 
9years and was known as "Mr. Sunshine" to all his students in 
10Peoria; he served on the board of CEFCU for over 30 years, 
11retiring this past February; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bruce Dimler enjoyed golf, traveling, and 
13spending time with his family and friends; he was a member of 
14St. Philomena Parish; he also served on the board of Catholic 
15Social Services for many years; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Bruce Dimler was preceded in death by his parents; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Bruce Dimler is survived by his wife of 52 years, 
19Mary (nee Hobin); his brothers, Paul and Steve (Nita); his 5 
20children, Dan (Kelly), Ed, Ellen, Pete (Brigid), and Maggie

1(Doug) Off; and his 10 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Dan, Maxie, 
2Molly, Mark, Ryan, Alex, Tess, Maggie, and Ted; therefore, be

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Bruce G. Dimler, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Bruce Dimler as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
