SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jeffrey B. Levens; and
  
 
  
4    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens was a respected attorney, an avid 
5sports fan, and a talented piano and clarinet player; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens had a weekly column in the Chicago 
7Daily Law Bulletin; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens was a family man and enjoyed 
9spending time with his wife and children; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Levens was the adored husband of Vera Kaye 
11and the  doting father of Noah Arthur (Andrea Brown), Barri 
12Lauren, and Samuel Jameson; he is survived by his parents, Hy 
13and Shirley (Addis) Levens, and his brothers, David (Susan 
14Mackem) and Corey (Anjini Kochar);  he was an uncle to Tara, 
15Teva, and Ravi; he had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, 
16friends, baseball and softball teammates, and colleagues, 
17including longtime partner, Al Augustine; he was master to his 
18faithful dogs, Lucy and Steve; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Jeffrey B. Levens, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

6our deepest sympathy.
