SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lacy Kay Hood, who passed away on August 
421, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lacy Hood was born on June 8, 1999 in Muncie, 
6Indiana; her parents are James and Kay (nee Kirkham) Hood; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Lacy Hood was the valedictorian of her class at 
8Ewing-Northern Grade School; she was a junior at Benton 
9Consolidated High School and a member of the volleyball team at 
10the time of her passing; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lacy Hood was a member of the Benton FFA and the 
12National Honor Society; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lacy Hood enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and 
14sharing Christ with others; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Lacy Hood was preceded in death by her 
16grandmother, Nancy (nee Lewis) Hood; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Lacy Hood is survived by her parents; her 
18grandparents, Gary and Mary Jo Kirkham and Richard Hood; her 
19aunts and uncles, Tim (Sonya) Kirkham, Perry (Lisa) Kirkham,

1Jennifer (John) Lowitz, Larry (Ruth) Lewis, Marilyn (nee Lewis) 
2Dickey, and Jean (Ron) Firebaugh; her many cousins and second 
3cousins; and her many friends; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Lacy Kay Hood; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Lacy Hood as an expression of our 
10sympathy.
