SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ann M. Kane, who passed away on August
427, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ann Kane was born in Joliet on June 17, 1931 to
6Willis and Helen (nee Kiep) Murdock; she graduated from the
7Cathedral of St. Raymond Grade School, St. Francis Academy High
8School in 1949, and the College of St. Francis; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ann Kane was employed by the Public Service
10Company and was a second grade teacher at Crystal Lawns
11Elementary School in Plainfield; she also spent many years as a
12substitute teacher for the Joliet and Plainfield School
13systems; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ann Kane was a member of St. Paul the Apostle
15Catholic Church; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ann Kane was preceded in death by her parents; her
17husband, John Joseph "Jack" Kane, Sr.; her 2 sisters, Jane
18(Edward) Holland and Marion (David) Abbott; her brother, Willis
19Murdock; her 4 brothers-in-law, Dr. James (Rita), William,
20Richard, and Gerald Kane; and her great-niece Kathleen Piercy;

1    WHEREAS, Ann Kane was the loving mother of 3 sons, John
2(Jen) Kane, Jr., Timothy (Christie) Kane, and Michael Kane; the
3beloved grandmother of Jack, Charlie, Ellie, Braden and Brody
4and Bailey, Ryan, and Mason; her 2 sisters-in-law, Pat Murdock
5and Mary Cele (James) Doyle; her 2 brothers-in-law, Dr. Thomas
6(late Merrily) Kane and Dr. Robert Kane; and numerous nieces
7and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Ann M. Kane, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Ann Kane as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
