SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Irene H. Coonan of Grapevine, Texas, who
4passed away on August 27, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Irene Coonan was born in Bondurant, Iowa; she
6lived in Joliet until 1976, when she and her husband relocated
7to Newport, Arkansas; they moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth,
8Texas area in 1982; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Irene Coonan worked in the wire manufacturing
10industry with the J.E. Messenger Co., Capital Wire Company; she
11retired from Precision Manufacturing in 2001; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Irene Coonan was a lifetime member of Ingalls Park
13United Methodist Church; she enjoyed raising and caring for
14pets, quilting, and spending hours tending to her rose garden;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Irene Coonan was preceded in death by her husband,
17James Coonan; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Coonan; her parents,
18John and Reka (nee VanIngen) Houbolt; Mary Jones, Neal Houbolt,
19and John Houbolt; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Irene Coonan is survived by her children, James

1Coonan, Sharon (Patrick) Asher, and Michael Coonan; her
2grandchildren, Jimmy (Julie) Coonan, Mark (Leah) Coonan, Amy
3(Chris) Byers, Jessica (Jorge) Luengas, and Aaron (Karin)
4Asher; her great-grandchildren, Alex (Emily), Amanda, Luke,
5and Jack Coonan, Sam Stortz, Joe, Maci, and Colin Byers, Asher
6and Grayson Luengas, and Samuel and Sydney Asher; her
7great-great grandchild, Allie Mae Coonan; and numerous nieces
8and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Irene H. Coonan, and extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Irene Coonan as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
