SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Roy Albert Schmidt of Coal Valley, who 
4passed away on August 29, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Roy Schmidt was born in Rock Island on January 26, 
61948 to Roy and Laura A. Beamen Schmidt; after 2 years of 
7service in the United States Army, he married Robin Mathias in 
81973 in Moline; the couple was remarried in 2014; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Roy Schmidt worked as a mechanic for Bridgeway 
10Auto Parts for 14 years and for Sentry Pool for 12 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Roy Schmidt enjoyed spending time with his family, 
12especially his grandchildren; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Roy Schmidt was preceded in death by his parents; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Roy Schmidt is survived by his wife, Robin; his 2  
16children, Roy (Lisa) Schmidt, Jr. and Laura (Isaac) Lyon; his 5 
17grandchildren; his  great-grandson; and his brother, Ron 
18(Randi) Schmidt; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Roy Albert Schmidt, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Roy Schmidt as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
