SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene C. Salmon of Moline, who passed
4away on August 22, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Salmon was born in Oxly, Missouri on
6October 9, 1922 to Dewey Claude and Seattle Fern (nee Ballard)
7Salmon; he served in combat in the Rhineland with the United
8States Army during World War II; he married Ruby June Burkhiser
9on December 19, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eugene Salmon worked at the Rock Island Arsenal
11for 32 years, retiring as a Procurement Contract Specialist in
121975; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eugene Salmon was a member of Doric Masonic Lodge
14#319, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons; he was an avid golfer;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Eugene Salmon was preceded in death by his wife,
17Ruby; his daughter Pamela Murray; and his siblings, Lilliette
18and Walter Lee Salmon; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eugene Salmon is survived by his 3 children and
20their spouses, Victoria and Mike Welch, Linda and Steven

1Musich, and Robert and Rosalie Salmon; his 9 grandchildren; his
221 great-grandchildren; and his 3 great-great-grandchildren;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Eugene C. Salmon, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Eugene Salmon as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
