SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joe "Patrick" Casillas of Moline, who
4passed away on August 29, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Casillas was born on March 17, 1930 in Moline;
6his parents were Ignacio and Leonore (nee Martinez) Casillas;
7he married Elena Oliva on December 30, 1961; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joe Casillas served his country as a member of the
9United States Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joe Casillas was employed at John Deere Harvester
11Works for 39 years until his retirement in 1987; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Joe Casillas is survived by his wife, Elena; 5
13children, Steve Casillas, Cindi Casillas, Rodney Casillas,
14Joseph Casillas, and Sharon Casillas; 5 grandchildren,
15Christine Cook, Johnathan Casillas, Alan Cook, Kory Armstrong,
16and Kaylie Bouerman; a great-granddaughter, Hailee Casillas; a
17sister, Tina Medina; and his many nieces and nephews;
18therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his

1family and friends, mourn the passing of Joe "Patrick"
2Casillas; and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Joe Casillas as an expression of our
