SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Carl Leon Sutton of Silvis, who passed 
4away on August 30, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was born on January 1, 1935 in Moline; 
6his parents were Herman and Eloise (nee Cady) Sutton; he 
7married Wanda Bechel on August 19, 1956 in Moline; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Carl Sutton served his country as a member of the 
9United States Marine Corps; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was employed by the former 
11Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company for 39 years; he retired 
12from the company as a lineman crew leader in 1995; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was an avid sports fan and enjoyed 
14flying model airplanes; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Carl Sutton was preceded in death by a brother, 
16Marshall Sutton; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Carl Sutton is survived by his wife, Wanda; 3 
18children and their spouses, Jeff and Ronda Sutton, Carolyn 
19Sutton, and Barbara and Dave Archiello; 6 grandchildren; and

1his siblings and their spouses, Virginia and John Carlisle and 
2Vere and Ruth Sutton; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Carl Leon Sutton; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Carl Sutton as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
