SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Peter Joseph Gallagher of Belvidere, who 
4passed away on September 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Peter Gallagher was born on October 18, 1959 in 
6Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; his parents were Edward and 
7Elizabeth (nee Thiel) Gallagher; he married Sue Belles in 1982; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Peter Gallagher graduated from Wilkes University 
10in 1981; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Peter Gallagher was a loyal employee of 
12Kmart/Sears for nearly 35 years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Peter Gallagher was an avid Notre Dame, New York 
14Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Boston Celtics fan; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Peter Gallagher was preceded in death by his 
16parents and a brother, Ed Gallagher, Jr.; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Peter Gallagher is survived by his wife of 33 
18years, Sue; 4 children, Edward G. and Peter L. Gallagher, 
19Kathryn E. Gallagher, and Joseph Gallagher; a sister, Claire

1(Manny) Mendoza; his beloved friend, Lisa Dent, and her boys; 
2several nephews; and his many dear friends and former 
3colleagues at Kmart/Sears; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Peter Joseph 
7Gallagher; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Peter Gallagher as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
