SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of August Jacob Hibel of North Chicago, who
4passed away on August 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, August Hibel was born in Waukegan on December 1,
61942 to August and Mary Kay Hibel; and
 
7    WHEREAS, August Hibel was a paid on call firefighter for
8the City of North Chicago for 40 years; he received the
9firefighter of the year award in 1988-89; he was Building
10Commissioner for the City of North Chicago from 1975 to 1983;
11he retired in 2008 from Lake County as Chief Building Inspector
12after 25 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, August Hibel was a member of St. Anastasia Parish
14in Waukegan and lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the
15Moose; he was an avid hunter and loved to read; and
 
16    WHEREAS, August Hibel was preceded in death by his parents,
17and his sister, Mary Lou Gust; and
 
18    WHEREAS, August Hibel is survived by his wife of 46 years,
19Suzanne (nee Daley) Hibel; his daughter, Sally Hibel; his
20special nieces, Dolly (Chris) Klocek and Chrissy (KC) Morris;

1his brother-in-law, Richard Gust; his sister-in-law, Dianne
2(Michael) Scavarda; his brothers-in-law, William (Judy) Daley,
3Robert (Joan) Daley, and Thomas, Donald, and Joseph Daley; his
48 nieces; his 5 nephews; his 5 great-nieces; his 2
5great-nephews; and his great-great-niece; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8August Jacob Hibel, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to August Hibel as an expression of our esteem and
13respect.
