SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard Raymond Sauve, who passed away on
4August 20, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Sauve was born in Waukegan on April 28,
61945 to Raymond and Helen (nee Schueneman) Sauve; he attended
7Holy Family Grade School in North Chicago and graduated from
8North Chicago Community High School in 1963; he married
9Margaret O'Brien; they lived in North Chicago for many years,
10later moving to Waukegan, and finally settling in Winthrop
11Harbor; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Sauve enjoyed the hobby of raising fish,
13and what started with a couple of discus turned into a
14business, with his basement containing approximately 60 fish
15tanks and thousands of Angel Fish that were eventually sold to
16pet shops in Illinois and Wisconsin; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Sauve enjoyed volunteering at St. Therese
18Hospital, Vista East Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center, and
19Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services in Kenosha; he was also
20a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Richard Sauve was preceded in death by his

1parents, and his daughter, Carol Ann Cantrell in 2004; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Richard Sauve is survived by his wife of 51 years,
3Margaret; his daughter, Barbie; his 3 grandchildren, Rebecca
4Cantrell (Mandy Ward), Thomas Cory Cantrell, and Jeremy Freeman
5(Riane Nourigat); his 2 sisters, Caron Kennedy-Perry and Rita
6(Dennis) Hollingsworth; his brother, Robert (Leslie) Sauve;
7his sister-in-law, Joyce Denney-Meyers; his brother-in-law,
8Lou (Teresa) Bunk; his 2 aunts, Sr. Margot Schueneman and Betty
9(Ray) Beyer; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and
10great-nephews, cousins; and his faithful cat, China;
11therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Richard Raymond Sauve, and extend our sincere condolences to
15his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Richard Sauve as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
