SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Charles V. Falkenberg, Jr., who passed 
4away on August 30, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Falkenberg, Jr. enjoyed Notre Dame 
6Football and never missed a Fighting Irish home game in 72 
7years; he also enjoyed laying in his easy chair with 2 
8televisions on at the same time, one with sports and one with 
9Law and Order reruns and countless VHS tapes of old Notre Dame 
10games, and spending time with his family; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Charles Falkenberg, Jr. was preceded in death by 
12his daughter, Mary; a son-in-law, John; a sister, Helen; and a 
13granddaughter, Colleen; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Charles Falkenberg, Jr. is survived by his wife of 
1560 years, Mary Ann; 10 children, Catherine (Marvin), Grace, 
16Susan (Mark), Charlie, III (Lizzie), Bob (Helen), Tom 
17(Christine), Marty, Lisa (Mike), and Joe (Katie); a sister, 
18Wanda; 26 grandchildren, Angela, MC (Kelly), Rebecca, Rachel, 
19Brian, Meghan, Will, Shannon, Erika, Bobby, Tommy, Danny, 
20Patrick, Kevin, Ryan, Teddy, Jake, Jessica, Matthew, Maddie, 
21Keira, Caitlin, Charlie, Emma, and Annie; and his many nieces, 
22nephews, friends, other family members; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Charles V. Falkenberg, 
4Jr.; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Charles Falkenberg, Jr. as an 
7expression of our sympathy.
