SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Gretchen L. Wurtzler of Chatham, who 
4passed away on August 22, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gretchen Wurtzler was born on July 14, 1936 in 
6Divernon; her parents were John H. and Marie C. Lueschen; she 
7married Ernest Victor Wurtzler in 1956; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Gretchen Wurtzler traveled around the globe with 
9her husband, who served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam during his 
10career in the Army; she and her family lived in Germany, St. 
11Louis, Missouri, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, California, 
12Wisconsin, and Kansas; they later settled in Chatham, where she 
13worked as an adjustor for AIG and as a manager for First 
14Financial Insurance Company before retiring in 1992; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Gretchen Wurtzler was preceded in death by her 
16parents; her husband, Ernest; and her grandchild, Lena Borow; 
17and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, Gretchen Wurtzler is survived by her children, 
19Dawn Wurtzler, Victor (Angie) Wurtzler, David (Liz) Wurtzler, 
20Paul Wurtzler, and Lisa (George) Borow; her sister, JoAnn 
21(Franz) Borow; her 10 grandchildren; and her 2

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Gretchen L. Wurtzler; 
5and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Gretchen Wurtzler as an expression 
8of our sympathy.
