SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  James Francis Davis of Chatham, who 
4passed away on September 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Davis was born on June 6, 1948 in 
6Springfield; his parents were Billy Joe and Betty Jane Edwards 
7Davis; he married Carol Ann Shaudis on November 4, 1972; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, James Davis served his country in the United 
9States Air Force during the Vietnam War; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, James Davis was employed as a wholesale food 
11broker; he most recently worked for Arrowhead Sales and 
12Marketing; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, James Davis was a member of St. Joseph the Worker 
14Church in Chatham; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, James Davis was an active volunteer with Clark 
16Griffith Little League; he was also a St. Louis Cardinals fan 
17and enjoyed watching his grandson's sports activities; and
 
18    WHEREAS, James Davis was preceded in death by his parents 
19and several aunts and uncles; and

1    WHEREAS, James Davis is survived by his wife, Carol Ann; 
2his sons, Brian (Brenda) Davis and Chris Davis; his grandsons, 
3Colin and Gavin Davis; his sister, Alta Davis; his brother, 
4Charlie Davis; his sister-in-law, Margery Eilts; and his many 
5nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
8family and friends, mourn the passing of James Francis Davis; 
9and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of James Davis as an expression of our 
12sympathy.
