SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  James D. Pierson of Silvis, who passed 
4away on September 20, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Pierson was born on September 15, 1943 in 
6Goldsboro, North Carolina; his parents were William and Sarah 
7White Pierson; he married Ann Shields on February 14, 2014 in 
8Rock Island; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Pierson served in the United States Army 
10during the Vietnam War; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, James Pierson was employed as a heating and air 
12conditioning repairman in the Quad Cities area for many years; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Pierson was preceded in death by his parents 
15and his sister, Sue Barefoot; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, James Pierson is survived by his loving wife, Ann; 
17his daughter, Cassandra Pierson; his grandson, Zachary; his 
18brother, David Pierson; and his loving chihuahua, Chi Chi; 
19therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of James D. Pierson; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of James Pierson as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
