SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William R. "Billy D." DeVore of Gurnee,
4who passed away on July 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Billy DeVore was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on
6October 31, 1941; his family moved to the north side of Chicago
7in 1949; he attended Senn High School, where he was a great
8basketball player and an excellent high jumper; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Billy DeVore worked for Sterns Store for Men for
10over 40 years, becoming the sole owner in 1983; he loved his
11family, his customers, and his friends and truly made an
12impression on all of those who crossed his path; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Billy DeVore was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears,
14Bulls, Hawks, and Cubs; he loved to travel and eat at great
15restaurants; he loved Hawaii and was fortunate to visit the
16islands on many occasions; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Billy DeVore was preceded in death by his parents,
18David DeVore and Maxine (nee Just) DeVore; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Billy DeVore is survived by his 2 sons, Brian and
20Keith DeVore, and their wives, Chelsie and Valerie; his

1grandchild, Jack; his spouse, Nancy DeVore; and his 2 brothers,
2Robert and Jim DeVore; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5William R. "Billy D." DeVore, and extend our sincere
6condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
7him; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Billy DeVore as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
