SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Albert G. Kovacek of North Chicago, who
4passed away on July 17, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Albert Kovacek was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
6his family moved to Waukegan from West Allis, Wisconsin, and he
7attended Mother of God School and Waukegan High School; he
8enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II and
9married Kathryn Macinovich in 1946; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Albert Kovacek worked as a machinist for the U.S.
11Steel Wire Mill for nearly 40 years; he belonged to the
12steelworker pensioner's club; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Albert Kovacek was an avid mechanic, reader, and
14auto buff; he was also an avid traveler, driving from coast to
15coast on several occasions; he had many friends in Flying clubs
16around Chicagoland and accompanied many friends on trips to
17Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Albert Kovacek was preceded in death by his
19parents, John and Josephine Kovacek; his wife of 52 years,
20Kathryn; and his siblings, Mary Margaret, Ann Zupec, Josephine
21Kovacek, Sylvia Brown, John Kovacek, William Kovacek, Robert

1Kovacek, and Louis Dale; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Albert Kovacek is survived by his son, Duane
3(Diane); his granddaughter, Kristin; his brother, Edward; and
4many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Albert G. Kovacek, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Albert Kovacek as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
