SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gloria J. Miller of Union, who passed
4away on August 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gloria Miller was born in Oak Park on June 22,
61930 to Francis and Gladys (nee Edge) Peuser; she graduated
7from Palatine Township High School in 1948; she married
8Clarence J. Miller on August 7, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran
9Church in Palatine; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Gloria Miller worked for the Thomas J. West Law
11Firm in Chicago; she and her husband moved to Union, where they
12owned and operated the C & G Restaurant; she also worked for
13Marengo-Union Elementary Consolidated School District 165,
14where she retired after 20 years of service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Gloria Miller was a member of St. John's Lutheran
16Church in Union and was a past choir member; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Gloria Miller was preceded in death by her
18husband, Clarence; her parents; and her brother, Wesley Peuser;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Gloria Miller is survived by her children, Ronald

1(Pam) Miller, Taffie (Gale) Iwanicki, and Clarence Miller, Jr.;
2her grandchildren, Kelly (Tom) Williams, Chad (Dyan) Miller,
3Cori (Dave) Ullmann, Abbi Sullivan, Mike (Melissa) Iwanicki,
4and Joe, Derek, and Kaitlyn (Bobby McCarron) Miller; her
5great-grandchildren, Taylor, Ryley, and Ryan Williams, Bailey,
6Cameron, and Logan Miller, Nathan and Pierce Ullmann, Alyssa
7Sullivan, Andrew and Aiden Iwanicki, and Damien McCarron; her
8sisters-in-law, Marilyn Miller and Cathy Scardina; and many
9cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Gloria J. Miller, and extend our sincere condolences to her
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Gloria Miller as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
