SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Guy F. "Red"  Brownson, who passed away on 
4July 6, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Guy Brownson served in the United States Army; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Guy Brownson was an active member of the National 
7Association of Letter Carriers Branch 1870; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Guy Brownson was a member of the Veterans of 
9Foreign Wars Post 5696 and the National Rifle Association; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Guy Brownson was a longtime Downers Grove Township 
11Democrat and former Democratic Party of DuPage County 
12Sergeant-at-Arms; he was a committed and active Democrat for 
13decades and made significant contributions; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Guy Brownson was a longtime, devoted member of the 
15Episcopal Church of
St. Benedict; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Guy Brownson was the loving husband to Beth 
17Brownson;
the devoted dad to Jason (Rachel) Bednar and Cindy 
18(Chad) Colmone; the cherished grandpa
to Emma and Noah Bednar 
19and Connor, Colin, and Cora Colmone; and the caring owner of

1"Punkin" the cat; he is survived by his 2 sisters and 3 
2brothers; he was a fond uncle
and friend to many; therefore, be

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Guy F. "Red" Brownson, and extend our sincere condolences to 
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Guy Brownson as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
