SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Barry Laroy Swanson, who passed away on 
4September 16, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Barry Swanson was born on January 16, 1964; his 
6parents were John L. Swanson and Betty Jo Fagan; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Barry Swanson received Christ at an early age and 
8was educated in the Chicago Public School system; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Barry Swanson was a loyal employee of the 
10Merchandise Mart in Chicago for many years as a dock worker; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Barry Swanson enjoyed bowling, dancing, and 
13spending time with his children and grandchildren; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Barry Swanson was preceded in death by his father; 
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Barry Swanson is survived by his mother; his 
17sister, Jodi (Anthony); his daughters, Francine (Joshua), 
18Tatiana, and Shantell; his sons, Johnell, Terrell, Dezmond, 
19D'Ante, Martrell, and Travell; his special nephews, AJay and

1Kendrick; his 11 grandchildren; his special grand-nephew; his 
2long-time companion, Tawaina; and his many aunts, uncles, 
3cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Barry Laroy Swanson; 
7and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Barry Swanson as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
