SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald Fackler, formerly of East Moline, 
4who passed away on October 12, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Fackler was born in DeKalb on November 11, 
61931 to Theodore and Ruth Fackler; he served in the United 
7States Navy during the Korean War; he married Barbara Young on 
8September 12, 1954 at Watertown Baptist Church in East Moline; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Fackler worked for Amatak in East Moline 
11until its closing; he also worked for International Harvester 
12in East Moline as a tool grinder, retiring in 1994; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Fackler was a Master Mason and  a 32nd 
14degree Scottish Rite; a favorite pastime of his  was fishing; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Donald Fackler was preceded in death by his 
17parents and his 8 brothers and sisters; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Fackler is survived by his wife, Barbara; 
19his son, Donald (Vicki) Fackler, Jr.; his grandson, Chad 
20Fackler; his granddaughter, Melissa Fackler; and his sister,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Donald Fackler, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Donald Fackler as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
