SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Caroline Elizabeth Williams of Long 
4Creek, who passed away on September 22, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Caroline Williams was born on June 1, 1925 in 
6Decatur; her parents were Delmar and Georgia May (nee 
7Glazebrook) Adams; she married Roger James Williams on March 
828, 1959 in Decatur; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Caroline Williams attended the Juilliard School 
10of Music and received her Master of Voice at Millikin 
11University; she retired in 1983 after many years as a music 
12teacher; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Caroline Williams loved watching the St. Louis 
14Cardinals, reading books, singing, traveling, and spending 
15time with her family; she was a member of the First 
16Presbyterian Church; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Caroline Williams was preceded in death by her 
18parents; her husband, Roger; her brother, Raymond Adams; and 
19her sister, Catherine Grandfield; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Caroline Williams is survived by her children,

1David Williams and Carol Ann (Chris) Peters; her grandchildren 
2Lori (Ben) Mize, Chelsea Peters, and Emily Williams; and her 
3great-grandchildren, Hayden Mize and Adelyn and Brooklyn 
4Peters; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Caroline Elizabeth 
8Williams; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Caroline Williams as an expression 
11of our sympathy.
