SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Theodore "Ted" Beskow, Jr. of Fox Lake,
4who passed away on October 20, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. was born on November 15, 1931
6in Chicago; his parents were Theodore and Irene (nee LiGue)
7Beskow; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. served his country as a
9member of the United States Navy and was a veteran of the
10Korean War; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. retired from the Lake County
12Division of Transportation after many years of service; he was
13a former Fox Lake Village and Grant Township Trustee and a
14sergeant with the Fox Lake Police Department; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. was a longtime member of Fox
16Lake American Legion Post 703; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. was preceded in death by his
18wife, A.M. "Bunny" Beskow; his parents; and his brother, Erwin
19Beskow; and

1    WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. is survived by his children,
2Mary (John) Zarr, Robert (Rebecca) Beskow, Susan (Gust)
3Gustafson, Kim (Don) Van Hoogen, Ann (Lenny) Vear, and Ted
4(Sandy) Beskow, III; his grandchildren, Kelly (Ryan), Ryan,
5Lindsay (Ryan), Carly (Rob), Sally (Tim), Gust, Danny, Jamie,
6Eric, Allison, Valerie, Erin, and Jake; his
7great-grandchildren, T.J., Nolan, Charlotte, and A.J.; his
8sister, LaVerne (the late Bill) Thompson; his brother-in-law,
9Bill (Babe) Koch; Ruth (the late Bob) Koch; and his many
10special friends in the Fox Lake community, cousins, nieces, and
11nephews; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Theodore "Ted" Beskow,
15Jr.; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Theodore Beskow, Jr. as an
18expression of our sympathy.
