SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Pamela Jayne Bernardi of Lake Forest, who 
4passed away on September 15, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Pamela Bernardi was born in Chicago and raised in 
6Barrington, Lake Forest, and North Chicago; she graduated from  
7North Chicago High School in 1964 and then Barat College of 
8Lake Forest with a bachelor's degree and National Louis 
9University of Evanston with a master's degree; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Pamela Bernardi was a elementary school teacher 
11for 22 years at Forrestal and Green Bay Schools in North 
12Chicago and Lincoln School in Highland Park; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Pamela Bernardi served 2 terms on the Waukegan 
14School Board in the 80s; she loved to volunteer with C.A.S.A. 
15For Children; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Pamela Bernardi was the beloved wife of the late 
17Gerald; the devoted mother of Aimee (Eric) Messner, Craig 
18Bernardi, and Davin (Kimberly) Bernardi; the dearest 
19grandmother of Grant, Parker, Landen, and Gage Messner and  
20Ryann, Mallory and Tanner Bernardi; the loving sister of 
21Steven, Darrel, and Randall (Rita) Harman; the fond aunt to 7;

1and a great friend to many; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Pamela Jayne Bernardi, and extend our sincere condolences to 
5her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Pamela Bernardi as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
