SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Gary Fitzgibbons, who passed away on 
4September 9, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Fitzgibbons was born in Northfield; his 
6parents were Elizabeth and Joseph Fitzgibbons; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Gary Fitzgibbons attended Loyola Academy in 
8Wilmette and graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where 
9he was a member of the soccer team; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Gary Fitzgibbons was an active member of St. 
11Mary's of Vernon Parish; he served on the pastoral counsel, as 
12a Eucharistic minister, and taught catechism classes for many 
13years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Gary Fitzgibbons enjoyed spending his free time 
15with his children and grandchildren, watching Notre Dame 
16football, and watching movies; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Gary Fitzgibbons is survived by his loving 
18children, Kelly (Jeff) Vergamini, Patrick (Mindy) Fitzgibbons, 
19Erin Fitzgibbons, and Ryan Fitzgibbons; he was also the proud 
20grandfather of Jack, PJ, Ashley, and Michael; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Gary Fitzgibbons; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Gary Fitzgibbons as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
