| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Edward Charles O'Connell, who passed away |
| 4 | | on October 19, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edward O'Connell was born on August 17, 1932 in |
| 6 | | Chicago; his parents were William and Louise (nee Carrier) |
| 7 | | O'Connell; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Edward O'Connell served his country with pride as |
| 9 | | a member of the United States Coast Guard during the Korean |
| 10 | | Conflict; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Edward O'Connell was the beloved husband of |
| 12 | | Veronica "Vera" (nee Tunney); the loving grandfather of Simone; |
| 13 | | the devoted great-grandfather of Aiden; the dearest brother of |
| 14 | | Betty Lewis and the late William; and the fond uncle of many |
| 15 | | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 18 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward Charles |
| 19 | | O'Connell; and be it further
