SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Mona J. McGibany, who passed away on 
4October 28, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mona McGibany was born on February 6, 1922 in 
6Bootle, England; her parents were William Henry and Elizabeth 
7(nee Parry) Humphreys; she married Darrell L. McGibany, Sr. on 
8December 23, 1944 in Huntingdon, England; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mona McGibany proudly served England in the 
10English Army during World War II, where she met her late 
11husband; she was employed for many years until her retirement 
12by the Ben Franklin store and the Thrifty Drug Store (CVS) of 
13Alton, attaining the position of manager in both stores; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Mona McGibany was preceded in death by her parents 
15and her husband, Darrell, Sr.; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mona McGibany is survived by her sons and 
17daughters-in-law, Darrell L. "Mern", Jr. and Rita McGibany, 
18Ronald L. "Moine" and Mary McGibany, and Michael "Mike" 
19McGibany; her grandchildren, Ted and Kim McGibany, Lisa 
20Maynard, Michaela Ford, Matthew and Sara McGibany, Ryan 
21McGibany, Gwaine McGibany, and Joseph McGibany; and her 5

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Mona J. McGibany; and 
5be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Mona McGibany as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
